I still have AutoStitch on my phone, and it still works. These apps are better than the "360 Panorama" type of apps such as 360 Panorama or DMD Panorama because instead of creating a sphere where I can step into, I can create a mural that I can print out for my wall. These apps stand out compared to the native panorama feature because I can "stack" in an extra dimension (e.g.: I can take 2 high 5 across photos and stitch them together, whereas with the native iOS camera panorama feature, I can only do 1 high 5 across). Some of these included: AutoStitch (my personal favorite) and Photosynth. A long time ago, when iOS first launched the panorama feature, older devices didn't support Panorama out of the box, so there used to be a bunch of apps that did stitch panorama.
